This cocktail recipe features our favorite winter citrus, blood oranges. They add gorgeous color and make a stellar pairing for either rum or tequila. The recipe calls for plain kombucha, but it wouldn't hurt to experiment in your second ferment with other winter flavors like hibiscus or pomegranate.
In a large shaker, muddle the ice, sugar, and the mint leaves (save a few sprigs to garnish). Add the rum and juice from the oranges to your shaker and continue to muddle. Give a quick shake before pouring the contents of the shaker into two low ball sugar-rimmed glasses and top with kombucha. Garnish with mint to serve. Makes 2 cocktails
